New Feature: In the Studio
Today we are announcing a new feature called 'In the Studio.' Here you can hear new works being composed as they move from beginning sketches to finished pieces. To check it out click on the heading on the left hand side.
Quick Update
I'm currently in the process of moving my studio downtown, so my video podcasts will be on hold till the end of June. In the meantime, I'm continuing to work on the projects I've outlined in my last couple of videos. Hopefully both of these compositions will be finished or near completion by September. As usual, when I resume podcasting I'll bring you up to date on my progress.

The reason I'm moving my studio downtown is so that I'll be closer to where opportunities are. Being situated between the campus and the downtown area will let me reach out to student and independent filmmakers plus tap into the vibrant arts community that exist here. Once everything is set up I'll take you on tour of my set up. :)
Changes to the Podcast
I'm changing the format of my podcasts to hopefully make them more engaging. Although the topics in my earlier views are fascinating, they're really more appropriate for a written blog entry where topics can be covered in greater detail. So instead of having one topic that I discuss for ten minutes, I decided to break my podcast into three segments.

The first segment of the podcast covers what I've been working on that week as a composer. So that way, everyone who watches the podcast can keep track of the progress I make on my music. I will from time to time, discuss new releases, gig announcements, and answer viewer questions if there are any. If you would like to ask me a question, just send it to adam (AT) adambuker.com.

The next segment deals with my musings for the week on topics pertaining to the philosophy of music composition or even philosophy in general. I anticipate that with most of these I'll have a blog post that covers the week's topic in greater detail and/or posted links to relevant articles on other sites.

The final segment deals with other things that I like and despise. Usually, I'll be reviewing recordings, books on music, and music related websites. Sometimes, I'll post reviews of items that aren't directly related to music if I think that they may be of interest to the viewers like works of art, movies, fiction, etc. I won't have any formalized system of rating items. However, I'll usually recommend with enthusiasm, recommend with some reservations (and explain what those are), or recommend that you avoid it like the plague.

Let me know what you think of the new podcast format. Send a message to me through YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter. You can also send me an email to the address that I mentioned above.

Thanks for watching, I've enjoyed doing these videos so far.

I have added a new social tab that includes links to all of my various online profiles and pages. I will be updating this page every time I join a social network or other site. Pump Audio
I am pleased to announced that my music will be made available to license through Pump Audio for TV shows, TV ads, film, radio ads, internet sites, and podcasts. The cost to license will depend on how much music is used and what it is used for. The cost is negotiated through Pump Audio.
Artist Profile on various sites
I am pleased to announce that I am in the process of completing several artist profiles for the following sites.

Last.fm
Myspace Music
Facebook Music
YouTube.com

Once these profiles are finished, I will provide links to my profile pages on the navigation bar on this website so that you can add me as a friend.

Also stay tuned to this site as I will also be updating the listening page and posting part two of The Search for Beauty in an Ugly World.
Stop, Look, and Listen
There are two new features that have been added to the site. There's a new photo gallery that you can access by clicking 'About the Composer' and then clicking 'Pictures.' We've also added a new mp3 player to the site so that you can sample the work of Adam Buker. To access it click on 'Listen' (must have Flash Player 7 installed, high speed connection recommended)
